Low Energy Consultancy (LEC) are very delighted to have been awarded Gold Membership Status with the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS).
The SCSS are working with over 60 industry leading partners to tackle the environmental and social sustainability issues within the construction industry. These include housing developers and tier 1 main contractors who are driving improvement of sustainability skills and knowledge of the built environment through to their supply chains.
As a gold member LEC have been invited to share their knowledge of the business and sustainability success stories to other members of the school. Involvement with the school has also assisted LEC in gaining a greater understanding of the client’s requirements, insight into their goals, aspirations and targets associated with the school.
Nicola Scott, Commercial Manager said: “The action plans that we have generated since joining the Supply Chain School of Sustainability have assisted us in improving our client appeal, our ability to add value to our internal business offering and have enhanced our knowledge as a business to provide a fully knowledgeable understanding of all things sustainability. Already we have begun to see small changes in the way we demonstrate our sustainable business measures as well as our environmental impact. We are now engaging with our own supply chain as a group to ask them to consider lowering plastic, paper and cardboard use for their packaging.”
LEC are very proud of this fantastic achievement, which further enhances the Group’s commitment to our sustainability and environmental aspirations and policies.
