Refurbishment Enigma cracked
Building on the success of this heritage attraction, the Teleprinter Hall was part of the next phase of museum restoration.
How we worked with our client
Formally the building situated on the site for Enigma code breaking was previously used as a cinema. The works involved refurbishing of the existing building services using modern technology but maintaining a sympathetic heritage standard to support a new walk through attraction experience.
The hardest challenge was making sure overheating issues were avoided using natural ventilation. This involved the use of 3D dynamic simulation software to model and simulate the buildings, environment and analyse various strategies.
