Overview of BREEAM and Code Assessments
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) sets the standards for best practise in sustainable design and specification for non-domestic buildings. Similarly the CFSH (Code for Sustainable Homes) assesses the measure of the sustainability of a dwelling. Planning authorities now require buildings to meet BREEAM requirements.
Our team has experience of delivering BREEAM compliance and provide a professional, no-nonsense approach to what can be a challenging requirement.
Our services include:
• BREEAM Assessments
• Code for Sustainable Homes/Eco Homes Assessments
• Sustainable Statements
• BREEAM (AP) Accredited Professional
• Consultancy Support
The assessments are a two stage process: the Design Stage Assessment based on drawings, specifications and commitments and the Post Construction Review when the building is completed.
Our experience of BREEAM and CFSH will ensure your building meets the required rating. Our division at LEC are experienced to advise on air leakage testing, iSBEM calculations, renewable energy evaluations, daylight calculations and EPC’s (all important parts of BREEAM or CFSH). We provide a cost effective, professional service, all under one roof.
Our BREEAM and CFSH service is offered independently where we are purely BREEAM/Code advisors or where we are already acting as building services engineers and can offer this additional in-house service.
Our projects vary all over the UK for a wide range of clients (both public and private) and we can offer a basic or enhanced level of advice depending on a project’s needs.
