It was a little bit spooky at B&F as our teams made a big effort for Halloween.

More importantly they dressed up and made cakes to raise funds for local charities. 

Here the LEC team (after they had dressed up not before) doing their bit and a massive thanks to all for making it such a great day.

Scarily good fun for a good cause.

LEC Managing Director, Adam Alexander, talks about ESOS and what firms need to do to ensure they are compliant. Adam explains that ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) presents a new and significant opportunity for large UK businesses. You can watch the first video here

The UK is set to launch an arms-length government agency to oversee infrastructure planning, with a former transport secretary to be appointed as its inaugural chairman.

The governor of the Bank of England has thrown down the gauntlet to the fossil fuel industry with a blunt warning that investors face “potentially huge” losses from climate change action that could make vast reserves of oil, coal and gas “literally unburnable”.

In a sweeping assessment of the financial risks posed by global warming, Mark Carney acknowledged there was a danger the assets of fossil fuel companies could be left “stranded” by tougher rules to curb climate change.

We are very proud to be experts in what we create whether that be infrastructure, engineering, low energy solutions or special projects. 

We don't often comment on the other end of the scale, demolition, but today opposite our Northampton HQ we have see the coming down of a building that has sat adjacent to us for many a year. 

What was the base for Metcalfes and AT Tools will soon be no more and we look forward to seeing a new development opposite our offices very soon.

Low Energy Consultancy is welcoming Ali Qureshi who is a new Energy Consultant for the team.

Ali is a building services design mechanical engineer and is involved in different projects.

These include IES Thermal Modelling, BREEAM pre-assessment for domestic refurbishments and HVAC design.

A big welcome to Ali.

LEC, part of the Briggs & Forrester Group, has recently undertaken a site inspection on the 50,000 square foot AMEI building in Dallam Lane, Warrington.

The facility will see Air Source Heat Pumps and PV on the roof of this five-storey building which has been designed to provide start-up businesses with the workspace they will need.

The building will house a cafe on the ground floor and is expected to be home for around 100 companies.

Low Energy Consultancy, part of the Briggs & Forrester Group are working with retail giant Aldi on their new UK Headquarters in Derbyshire.

The building, based in Atherstone, is seeing a new extension which the Low Energy Consultancy team are working on.

LEC are carrying out the initial building regulation compliance checks. This will assist with the design strategy and local planning requirements.

LEC is delighted to be working with Great Glen Grammar School in Leicestershire.

Our work at the Grammar School is on a new extension to the main academic building alongside our partners Ambivent.

We are producing energy performance certification, building regulations compliance reporting and overheating analysis for teaching areas.
